Orleans levee board (proposed class action) |
|
ABOUT THE CASE · This case, which was front page news and was brought in the wake of an FBI investigation, involves an alleged scheme to monopolize the salvage operations in the Orleans Levee Board’s two marinas in the New Orleans area—The Orleans Marina and the South Shore Harbor Marina. · The class was not certified by the Court, so this lawsuit was settled only on behalf of the named plaintiffs and no others. This means that if you were a tenant in the marina and wish to pursue a claim against the Levee Board and/or the other defendants, you will have to file an individual suit. · Because the class action was filed, the deadline for filing an individual suit may not have passed for you if you want to pursue your own claim. You should contact Mr. Lambert or another attorney immediately if you suffered losses due to the actions of these defendants after Katrina and Rita. · |
